[TC]2 and AATCC Present

Innovative Textile Printing: Green & Global

September 17th, 18th, and 19th
Sheraton Imperial Hotel, RTP
Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina

[TC]2 is once again joining forces with our friends at AATCC to delivery a special program devoted to the topic of Textile Printing. This educational symposium will highlight digital printing as a key area of focus. Now established as a tool for sampling and product development, digital textile print methods are currently moving into the realm of production. Advances in printer hardware, software, and ink chemistry are coming together to produce higher speed, production-oriented print systems. At the same time, the apparel and textile industries are striving to understand and address issues related to sustainability and developing printed product within an increasingly global supply chain. With this in mind, [TC]2 and AATCC are bringing together experts in both digital and conventional printing, as well as colorant chemistry, fibers, product development and color communication. These experts will share their knowledge through a combination of presentations and round table discussions.

On September 19th, conference participants will also have the opportunity to visit Cotton Incorporated for a tour of their design and textile processing areas, where digital textile printing will be a featured technology. The tour will then proceed to [TC]2, where visitors will gain insight into 3D technologies for product development and the integration of digital printing into the sewn product manufacturing environment.

InkDrop Printing Introduces Nano Colorant Printing

In May of 2007, we welcomed the addition of the Yuhan Kimberly digital print system to the [TC]2 technology demonstration center. This system includes the Ujet MC2 printer and nano colorant textile inks, a specialy formulated pigment-based chemistry. The digital print team is currently investigating the application of this system and is now accepting print projects on a case by case basis.
